Restaurant of the month

Hi all!

We went on vacation the week of Easter to Florida for a quick visit while my sister was in town from Maryland. Sorry I have not posted any new topics on the blog as I am just now able to get back to normal and caught up.

With that said, we have mailed information to about 40 restaurants in the Marshall county and surrounding areas asking them to allow us to give reviews of their establishments. Hopefully, we will start getting some responses this weeks and be able to post the next restaurant. We will start off by having two restaurants; one in the North part of the county and one in the South part. That way you are not just seeing a review that is to far of a drive for you to go and try out.

We eat out at least twice a week, just to get to try new places. Next week, we will probably go over to Boaz and try a restaurant that we haven't eaten at yet.....I'm not telling until we go!

With all the big chain restaurants that are coming into the area, I don't want our locally owned businesses to fall to the wayside. We want to keep all of the locally owned shops in the front of all of your minds. We welcome ANY ideas for locally owned shops that you may like us to review. This will not be a rating system at all. We are only going in and writing about our experiences with them. Feel free to post YOUR favorite items from any restaurant that we review by clicking in the lower right hand corner on comments. We will read over all comments before posting and adding them to our blog.

Also, some restaurant owners have told me that they will allow us to offer coupons for all readers of our blog! But, not all owners will offer a coupon with us. I have not asked any of them to do that. One owner offered and I think it is a GREAT way to stir up new business. The coupons will either be embedded in the review or have a link in the title of the post.

Remember, shop locally to keep our money here for our kids. Recycle when you can. Smile at everyone you meet today. All that know me, know that I try to always have a smile on my face!

You need to try out the buffet at the Guntersville State park on Sundays. It has seafood and steaks and tons of stuff. Just FYI
